The grandson of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s founder, Clark Gracie is part of the legendary family responsible for bringing the sport to the United States. Under the tutelage of his father, renowned fighter Carley Gracie, Clark developed an aggressive fighting style, taught to exploit opponents weaknesses and missteps and always look for the finish. He is credited with helping popularize the omoplata submission, an offensive move in which the attacker uses his legs to gain complete control of the opponent’s upper body. A Pan-American Jiu-Jitsu and World Master Black Belt Champion, Clark's competitive resume is impressive, but he also uses his expertise to train the next generation of BJJ athletes. While still actively competing, Clarke opened the Clark Gracie Academy, where he coaches several pro Mixed Martial Artists.
