To use an authorized agent, a U.S.A. resident must provide the agent with written authorization. Therefore, after receiving a request from an agent, we will contact the agent to receive a copy of the written authorization from the U.S.A. resident on whose behalf the request is being made. We may deny a request from an agent that does not submit proof that they have been authorized by the appropriate U.S.A. resident to act on their behalf. Furthermore, for right to know and deletion requests only, a U.S.A. resident may also be required to verify their own identity with us. The requirements to use an authorized agent for right to know and deletion requests do not apply when a U.S.A. resident has provided the agent with power of attorney pursuant to Cal. Prob. Code sections 4000 to 4465.
